YK is a long time believer in the power of the body to heal itself. She started her personal Chinese medicine journey during a long period of grief around her mother’s passing. In her despair, more than a decade ago. She was suffering from intense daily vertigo that rendered her incapable of performing daily activities. She received acupuncture and Chinese herbs and eventually regained her personal balance.
YK will listen and dialogue with you closely to determine a treatment plan that best supports your body to regain the balance you desire. YK is trained in both Chinese and Japanese style acupuncture and adjunctive techniques. She has a specific interest in treating patients with autoimmune, digestive and neurological issues. Please see the list of conditions, we treat…and so much more.
YK loves working with people and feels a special connection to children and young people. There are five branches of Chinese medicine, acupuncture, herbs, massage, nutrition and exercise. Here at the Flow Collective we will work with the first three branches and encourage you to take a close look at your nutrition and exercise program.
YK is a mother and when not working with patients she loves to bike, play the cello, make art, garden or cook delicious meals for her family and friends. Maintaining a healthy work-play balance is very important to YK.
