Frequently Asked Questions

Does acupuncture hurt?

Acupuncture is not typically painful. The needles used are extremely thin, much finer than those used in most Western medical settings. While you may experience sensations like tingling, heaviness, or a gentle pressure, these are normal and often indicate the body's response to the treatment. Most clients report feeling deeply relaxed during their session, and many even fall asleep.

What conditions can be treated with acupuncture?

Acupuncture is used to treat a wide variety of conditions. See “Treatments” for more information.

How many treatments
will you need?

All bodies are different. As a general rule, acute conditions may resolve faster than chronic ailments. The longer you have been dealing with a certain health issue, the longer it will usually take to resolve. Herbal formulas may expedite the healing process.
